Triangle 62nd Annual Meeting of Members Well Attended
Triangle Telephone Cooperative Association, Inc., doing business as Triangle Communications (Triangle), held its 62nd Annual Meeting of Members on Saturday, October 17, 2015. Over130 voting members plus numerous guests attended the meeting held in the Student Union Building on the campus of Montana State University-Northern in Havre. The 240 attendees enjoyed a delicious meal catered by MSU-Northern.
Triangle Board President, Tom Bangs, opened the business portion of the meeting by talking to members about the new Triangle mission and vision statements. He also discussed how Triangle is truly a Broadband company that is working hard to give our members access to higher speeds any way we can, plus Triangle Mobile coverage continues to expand. Mr. Bangs thanked retiring General Manager, Rick Stevens, for his service to Triangle. Board Member, Don Bitz, presented Rick with a plaque from NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association for his years of service and dedication to the telecom industry. Mr. Stevens spoke about the future of Triangle, keeping our communities vital, the merger of all of Triangle landline subscribers into the cooperative, he also encouraged members to stop by and visit Triangle’s Home Experience Room at the Havre office. Rick wrapped up the meeting by thanking the Board and talking about how much hetruly enjoyed his career.
Rick Pokorny, District 4, and Richard Stuker, District 5, were re-elected to represent their respective districts on the Triangle Board. Tom Bangs will remain President of the Board, Verlin Reichelt will serve as Vice President and Rick Pokorny remains Secretary/Treasurer.
The winner of Triangle’s Annual Photo Contest was determined by balloting at the meeting. The $200 grand prize photo titled “Best Friends” was taken by Shannon Caraway of Rapelje. Karla Vaughn of Havre received second place. Third place was a tie between Barbara Guy of Moore and Eric Visocan and Kristina Smith of Fort Benton. Jo Lynn Savage of Havre took the fourth place photo and the fifth place photo was taken by Lisa Myers of Big Sandy. The winning photos can be viewed on Triangle’s Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/TriangleCommunications and will be featured on the Keeping You Connected magazine covers in 2016.
