Teacher Appreciation Program
Strong rural schools depend on strong educators, yet recruiting and retaining teachers in Montana’s rural communities can be challenging. To help support these efforts, our Teacher Appreciation Program provides funding educators can use for items or expenses that are the biggest priority for the awardee.
Award Amounts:
1st Place - $2,500
2nd Place - $2,000
3rd Place - $1,000
Additional $1,000 awards may be made each year depending on applications received.
Program Requirements:
- Teach in a B or smaller school in a school district served by Triangle Communications
- Teacher does not have to be a member or member-dependent

Letter of interest that includes the following:
For current and incoming teachers – introduce yourself and your area of study. Explain what influenced your decision to become a teacher and convey why you currently teach or want to teach in a rural community. Would a $2,000 annual scholarship for three years encourage you to stay in your community for the next three years? Add any other qualifications or interests that you think we should know about you: have you held any positions of leadership? Received any awards? Participated in group activities or community service? - Letter of Recommendation
Additional Information:
Awards will be paid out in August after confirming the teacher is from a B smaller school in our service area.
Finalists will be submitted to Montana Telecommunications Association for the Rural Education Teacher Scholarship.
