Triangle Continues Fiber Upgrades to Big Timber Town and Whispering Pines

Some preliminary work will begin in the Whispering Pines area on April 25, 2022. Triangle Communications’ (Triangle) contractor, JKL, will begin upgrading a portion of Triangle’s Big Timber exchange including Big Timber town and the Whispering Pines area to fiber optics. Residents will see JKL trucks as well as other sub-contractors hired by JKL working on these upgrades. 

The Big Timber town portion of the project includes over 35 miles of aerial and buried fiber, and the Whispering Pines upgrade includes approximately 60 miles of buried fiber. While placing fiber during these upgrades, delays and road closures may be necessary to keep JKL crews and area residents safe. Triangle will be providing frequent updates as the upgrades progress.
