CEO Message - Sept/Oct 2021
I am covering a few important topics in my message this month and I hope you can take a few minutes to read about some things we are working on for you, our members.
Summer is coming to an end and so is our 2021 Fiber to the Home construction season. Thank you to our members in our 2021 fiber upgrade areas for your patience while our contractors worked in your towns completing these projects. We are already working on the 2022 Fiber projects which will include South Malta, complete the Moore exchange and a section of Big Timber. October is a busy month at Triangle Communications. After having cancelled our annual meetings in 2020 due to COVID, we are looking forward to hosting a north and south meeting this year. I would encourage all our members to watch the new video on the main page of our website. It goes through the history of Triangle Communications. I understand capital credits can be confusing so we also included in the video an explanation of how capital credits work. I hope this will help our members understand this important part of cooperative membership.
The Triangle Board of Trustees will again be offering a capital credit discount offer for years 1993 to 2020. If you had service in 1992, we are also doing a general retirement for year 1992. If you are participating in the discounted offer, members will receive their 1992 amount in with their discounted offer. If you do not choose to participate in the discounted offer, a standalone check for the 1992 general retirement will be sent to you.
A letter has been mailed to all members describing what you will need to know to decide on the discounted capital credits.
