Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) Program and Affordable Connectivity Program
Effective 2/8/2024, the Affordable Connectivity Program has stopped enrollments. The program is expected to run out of funds effective 4/1/2024.
Effective 12/31/2021, the EBBP will end, however it is being replaced by the Affordable Connectivity Program (“ACP”). As an existing participant in the EBBP, there will be a 60-day transition period from 1/1/2022 to 3/1/2022, during which time the existing support amount for non-tribal participants will remain at up to $50 per month and tribal participants will remain at up to $75 per month. After 3/1/2022, the support amount will be up to $30 per month for non-tribal participants and up to $75 per month for tribal participants.
If your enrollment in the EBBP was based on a substantial loss of income after 2/29/20, the Universal Service Administrative Company (“USAC”), administrator of the EBBP and ACP, will send you information on the steps you will need to take to continue receiving benefits under the ACP.
With the new ACP, participants can switch service offerings at any time. Please contact the office at 1-800-332-1201 to inquire on service offering options.
